About Me
As a native Houstonian with over 25 years of experience in marketing communications consulting across industries like oil and gas, chemical, safety, and retail management, I bring a unique and practical perspective to college counseling. My professional background has always centered around helping people and organizations put their best foot forward, and now I have the joy of doing the same for students. I love helping them showcase their unique experiences, interests, strengths, and achievements in a way that feels authentic and compelling.
I hold both an MBA and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston and earned a certificate as an Independent Educational Consultant from the University of California, Irvine—a credential I pursued to build a solid foundation for guiding students and families. As a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), I stay connected to best practices and the latest trends in college admissions.
My approach is structured yet supportive. I use proven processes and clear timelines to take the stress out of the college application journey. From building personalized college lists that match students’ academic, social, and financial goals to crafting standout essays and understanding financial aid, I’m with the students every step of the way.
As a mother of two teenagers, I understand firsthand how overwhelming this process can feel. That’s why I prioritize building meaningful connections with each student, taking the time to understand their strengths, challenges, and aspirations. So far, all of my students have been admitted to the colleges of their choice with their chosen majors, and I’m committed to continuing that track record of success.
I’m based in Fulshear, Texas and primarily work with students in Houston and the surrounding areas.
